Griffithstown Harriers was set up in September 1983 and is recognised as a well-established running club. We are based at The Oasis Club on Edlogan Way, Cwmbran, Torfaen. We welcome anyone who wants to run with us no matter what standard you are. The club participates in local leagues.

Dates and venues for GLCL 2012 Road Race Series are :
Tues 1st May; Oasis leisure Club Cwmbran; (Griffithstown Harriers),
Tues 22nd May; Caerleon Campus; (Caerleon Running Club),
Tues 26th June; Penallta Parc Ystrad Mynach; (Islwyn Running Club),
Tues 17th July; Pontypool Active Living Centre; (Pont-y-pwl & District Running Club),
Tues 7th August; Cwmbran Stadium; (Fairwater Runners Cwmbran).

Training.

The Training Schedule is designed to compliment member's own training, and states what is planned for Club nights. We meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Oasis Leisure Club, Edlogan Way, Cwmbran for a 7 pm start.

Updates:

Excellent achievement by the Club in the first race of the 2012 Leisure League Road Race series: women finished 2nd team overall
& the men 6th.

Membership Forms
Annual Membership -£60 per year, and includes Welsh Athletics Registration.

The Cwmbran Sports Relief Mile hosted by Griffithstown Harriers was a huge success with close to 250 people taking part raising over £1000 for charity

Results - 2011

If you enjoy a challenging run, this is the one for you.

A 10k road race held in memory of one of our members, Richard Davies.

The route follows a circular course around Sorbrook, Llandegveth Reservoir and New Inn.

Boxing Day Fancy Dress

5 Mile Fun Run

Christmas Pudding.

Our informal atmosphere for this race makes it a popular event enjoyed by many every year.

A two lap course around Croesyceiliog and Llanyrafon.
After the run there are refreshments in the Glan Yr Afon Club.

Prizes for the first man and first lady home, best fancy dress prize, and many spot prizes.
